Dr. D.J. Polzin, D.O.
Dr. D.J. Polzin is a nomadic physician specializing in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. His practice utilizes a holistic approach and incorporates lifestyle, plant medicine, food as medicine, and mind-body-spirit medicine.
Dr. Polzin has specific interest and experience in LGBTQQIP2SAA inclusive primary care, utilizing trauma-informed care, and providing healthcare to the nomad/van-life community.
During medical school, Dr. Polzin lived out of his self-built camper van while gaining clinical and hospital experience around the country. During his Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Polzin developed a transgender care curriculum to teach healthcare providers how to provide exceptional transgender care in a community healthcare setting.
Dr. Polzin lives full-time on the road, providing one of a kind healthcare and mental health support for his patients.
My Approach to Medicine:
I integrate a mind-body-spirit approach, natural remedies, and western medicine to create a personalized health plan with and for my patients. I help folks decrease their need for pharmaceuticals by addressing root causes of disease. When necessary, I will use prescription medications in a safe effective way to minimize side-effects and maximize benefit.
